Yayoi Kusama at 345meatpacking

Yayoi Kusama, well known for her use of dense patterns of polka dots and nets, arrives in New York for her show at the Whitney Museum of American Art. Susanne and I collaborated with her and the Whitney during this show, wrapping my building in her "Yellow Trees" painting.

Yayoi Kusama’s “Yellow Trees” wrapped DDG's 345meatpacking building during its construction and became a temporary neighborhood landmark art installation, running concurrently with her show at the Whitney Museum of American Art.

Kusama used to have a studio on 14th Street, coincidentally.

From inside of 345meatpacking looking out through Kusama's "Yellow Trees" wrap. She imagined these types of nets or screens as protective layers.

The building is wrapped.
