Nestled in between townhouses in the Carroll Gardens neighborhood of Brooklyn I found a former convent with two vacant lots, one on either side, available for sale. We decided to set back the new buildings, preserving the historical streetscape and allowing our new modern buildings to rise sensitively and contextually above.

The fourth building of the complex abuts and continues the theme of modern contextual architecture using set-backs and differentiating materials from brick on the front facades to concrete board on lot line walls

Interiors

A light, refreshing interior architecture harmonizes with both industrial materials like steel and concrete and warmer wood and tile to create a vibrant modern life.
